Inspiration for your Day - Oct 7

Have you ever heard the expression when one door closes another one opens? Or when one door closes, God opens a window.

These expressions are often said when we are faced with a disappointing situation.

Often times we are frustrated, aggravated or stressed-out over a situation that we hoped for and didn't work out.

I read an article by author Max Lucado. He tackled this subject with wisdom.

"Your blocked door doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you. Quite the opposite. It’s proof that he does," Max Lucado said.

"It’s not that our plans are bad but that God’s plans are better. God uses closed doors to advance his cause," Lucado explains.

I really like how Lucado expressed the situation with such clarity. He continues with scripture.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isa. 55:8–9 NLT

If we step outside of our situation for a moment, we begin to have clarity. We gain the wisdom we desperately.

We don't have to worry about our situation. For we gain in faith by trust in in His word.

Then we'll be ready to fly through that open window to reach our dreams.
