All week long, the news reports are showing the images we soon wish to forget. Stories of survivors are recalled, people are sharing what they we were doing when the towers were hit. The scene of sadness reappears with the images that are recalled as the days get closer.
There is no escaping the memory. Many would love to forget. The tenth anniversary stirs up the past. It opens up the deep wounds of grief.
Over the next several days, the stories will be more numerous. Special ceremonies to honor the victims will be planned in many towns and cities. Take the time to reflect.
Even when we feel we're walking alone, we are never alone.
For He is always with us. God carries us during the storms.
He comforts us when we are weak. We can hold on to Him.
As the memories of 911 resurface, hold on to your faith. Comfort another. Share your story with a friend.
Remember when and say a prayer. For this life is just our temporary home.
