Daily Inspiration - Sept 7

Are all distractions a good thing? When you're under a deadline and interruptions occur, how do you handle them? Are there frustrations that get in your way? There's a reason we get distracted.
Beware of the Wolf
Sometimes the enemy wants you to be distracted, to kick you off-track and to cause you great frustration. How do you fight back against the enemy? In the best way you know how.

Quiet your mind, be still, take a deep breathe and pull in those resources.

If you've been reading the Bible, recall on those verses you've memorized.

Stop for a moment, say a quiet prayer.

If you're able, remove yourself physically from the situation. Go into another room, take a quiet break, perhaps visit the restroom. A place where you can be alone for a moment.
  • Take that time to ask God what He wants to reveal to you through this circumstance. Sometimes by removing yourself, you allow yourself to rationalize with your thoughts.
Don't give the enemy a foot-hold in the door. Don't let him in and allow those distractions to pull you away from the focus God is intending for you to have. Keep your mind on Jesus. Keep your focus on Him.

These distractions can be a nuisance but how you react to them can make all the difference.
