Thought for the day - June 13

Have you ever considered the reach you have, the impact of your life?

Have you ever lost something so important that you searched everywhere for it? Pulling out the sofa cushions and plunging through the garbage can to find your belonging?

Without realizing it, we do crazy things to get what we need or what is important to us. Once you found your belonging, you felt at ease. A sense of peace filled your spirit. For what was once lost had now been found.

In the same way, you reaching to find your lost belonging, your life is impacting others. When someone is feeling lost or alone, you come along with a cheery hello, maybe a smile to encourage.

Other people take notice. When you are having a bad day at work, you keep your cool, people are taking mental notes. Your life has greater impact than you might think.

Going out of your way to help a person in need takes a special heart. Telling someone you care and encouraging a grieving friend goes a long way. Spending that extra 10 minutes with your child who is upset and just wants your attention matters a lot.

How you go about your day to get your list of tasks crossed off is a matter of choice. How you treat others will directly impact the lives around you.
Lazy Summer Days Reflection

God has placed people together by choice. It is no accident that you ran into an old friend in the grocery store last week. There is no coincidence that your close friend is going through the same things you experienced last year. These things happen for a reason.

Sharing your wounds, experiencing pain and telling others about your faith will deeply enrich your life as well as the others in your life.

When you were lost, God found you. He waited for you to be ready, then he got your attention.

In the same way, you are impacting others greatly. So what message will you share with them today?
