Thought for the day - June 14

Have you taken a Spiritual Inventory lately?

Looking beyond what you normally see and reflecting on your heart's desires to understand your motives? Sometimes in life, we get so caught up with living in the moment we fail to see our shortcomings. We try to please others while attempting to "fix" ourselves. We tend to control every situation that comes along so we don't have to face unpleasantness.

Life is too short to waste. If we look at our past, we learn from our experiences. We tend to see better when we have our eyes on Jesus and not on our earthly experiences.

If we were to look at our lives through the eyes of the beholder, the eyes of faith, the eyes of God, almighty, we may see that our life has a divine purpose.

Taking a spiritual inventory requires a sensitivity to human nature. It requires the gifts of the Holy Spirit. For the fruits of the Spirit are manifested once you believe in Jesus Christ.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23

When you recognize the Holy Spirit's presence within you, you are far more capable of living your life with a purpose.

For we cannot do these things on our own. We must continually recognize our work is incomplete without Him.
