Prioritizing and planning our schedules is very important. Things like a planning a vacation can be done tomorrow. Going out to buy a gift or something special can be done tomorrow. Other things, like settling an argument is probably best to be handled today.
The Bible says, don't the sun go down on your anger.
Basically that means don't put off something you should handle right away. Don't let bitterness find root in your soul, destroying your relationship. This illustration of 'don't let the sun go down' is not meant to be taken literally. It does not mean you must persist in settling your dispute so you could fall asleep. It doesn't mean you push another in demanding resolution right away, especially when it comes to men and women in relationships.
Woman deal with issues by 'feeling' them whereas men deal with issues by 'thinking' about them. Two different ways to problem solve can be frustrating to one another. Women want to know their man cares enough to settle the issue right away. Men need a little time to think it through.
Don't let bitterness take root in your relationships. Address the situation as soon as it is possible, discuss the situation openly and give it time to heal. So if the argument occurs at 10 pm, it is OK to 'sleep on it' just be sure to address it the next day.
For unresolved conflict wages war on the spirit of love.
Find the time to prioritize and always put God first place in your relationship. Let Him handle the rest.
