Daily Inspiration - Sept 15

Today is a mixed day of emotions. A dear friend may have cancer. She is undergoing surgery today to remove a tumor found on her ovaries. The doctors fear it may be cancer.

As I write this, she is in surgery.

All morning long, I've been in deep thoughts for her and praying God will spare her. She is a young woman with two little boys. My heart is wrenched for her little boys. She wants to put up a brave front. Keeping everything private and not wanting to alert anyone, she asked others not to say anything.

Yet my heart can't stop thinking about her situation.

I want to cry out and ask for as many prayers as possible. I'm praying for her quick recovery, I'm praying for those two little boys. I'm praying for her husband.

Life is so unfair at times. It seems that the kindest of people are often the ones who suffer the most. My faith is constantly tested under trying conditions. I believe in Jesus. I also believe in miracles.

“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” - Psalm 91:14-16

My heart aches, my prayers are lifted. I wait for the outcome. I wait in faith as I hear the news.

Please dear Lord, spare her. Don't take her from us. Watch over her during the surgery. Comfort her husband and family. In your loving presence I find your words comforting.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” - Psalm 91:1-2
