Do you often feel that your voice is not being heard? Perhaps you spent the last 30 minutes on the phone with a close friend. Telling them all about the situation you're facing, maybe venting. When you come to the end of your conversation, your friend asks 'what's wrong?' Maybe they weren't really listening and say something else or seem inconsiderate.
After all, you wanted to share something really important but they were preoccupied. Timing is everything. Sometimes we want to be heard out of sympathy or we need some friendly advice. When we are in need it is very frustrating to find out they weren't even paying attention.
This happens plenty of time with children. Their lack of focus is do to their attention span. Do you feel like sometimes you are talking to your child? When we fall into negativity thinking we can cause great pains within our hearts. Stinkin' thinking is a term often used to indicate we are falling into a trap.
Instead of letting your hearts be troubled, look to your Heavenly Father. He listens to the prayers of His children. You can tell Him anything. He doesn't lack interest for He cares about every facet of your life. You can count on Him.
Think of Him. He cared so much that His arms spread across the wooden cross.
It was You He thought of when His hands were penetrated with nails.
It was You He ached for when His side was pierced.
He loves You this much, He stretched His arms for You.
