Daily Inspiration - Aug 8

Taking time to readjust your priorities.

Finding time for rest
How often do you need to readjust your schedule? Is it daily, weekly, or only as needed?  Often times, we have to readjust our schedules in order to meet deadlines. Other times, it is to meet the need of a friend or family member.

How do you respond when you're faced with a sudden turn of events? Do you enter a negative mindset? Complaining all the while you are "helping out" and telling every one else how you had to readjust?

Most people will politely listen to your voice of complaints but inside they are seething. No one wants to listen to a complainer or whiner. Pretty soon those friends will not answer when you call or they will be "busy" when you want to plan a get together.

Readjusting your priorities takes practice. Some events happen to teach us character traits we need to learn. When a sudden crisis occurs, stop for a moment, reflect on it. Immediately pray over it. Ask God to give your direction so you do not act in haste. Then the next time crunch time occurs you'll be better prepared. For God is leading you, teaching you, and training you on the way you should go.

Praise God when priorities have to be adjusted. Thank Him you have the ability to balance a schedule. Instead of complaining for sympathy, ask others if they could help. Most are willing to extend a helping hand if you ask. Pay attention to the signals and when asking for help, be specific.

Count it pure blessings my friend when face with trials of any kind by learning through them you will gain perseverance and godly character.
