On the east coast, they are bracing for a storm. Evacuations have started in many cities along the coast. In Virginia, there was a 5.8 magnitude Earthquake that hit. A little scary and people were a little shaken by all the events.
While others watched the news reports, I prayed. While others are watching weather reports, I think about my family. Life is just too short to waste another minute on worries about catastrophes.

In all these things, they will soon pass. What will be left is a memory. We do not need to worry about events that are out of our control. We must learn to trust in Jesus. The one who calms the storms. Lean on Him during your troubles. Let His peace transcend upon you during these difficult times.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it is to have faith. Life's storms will come. Sometimes we see them heading our way like Hurricane Irene. Other times they appear out of nowhere like the Virginia Earthquake. Stay steadfast in His love and keep your eyes on Jesus.
What we do today will strengthen our faith for tomorrow.
