Worry is the Enemy's Trap: Don't Get Stuck

Do you worry about tomorrow? Do you have an issue going on right now that is causing you to worry about your future? How many times have you heard the expression to stop worrying about it? You want to trust more but you still worry things will get worse.

Worry is a test of faith. Allowing worry to penetrate your life keeps you trapped.

Instead focus on what God can do and not what you think He won't do. Worry is the enemy's trap. It comes in many ways. First you begin to worry about your future when something happens in the present. You focus on the problem and start thinking things will get worse. Sometimes you try to control the situation and it only gets worse.

How often do you worry? Do you have a particular issue going on right now and it's keeping you in a worried state?

Do you have faith? Do you ask yourself, is it enough?

It's all about perspective. Putting your issue, problem, or situation in perspective lessens the enormity of it.

Think of it as a time capsule. Pretend your issue is one of those grains of sands. It's minor compared to the bigger picture. That little grain of sand in time is the same size as all the others. When you flip it over the sands pass through the hole to other side. Flip it over again, it repeats. Worry is a lot like that. Flip it over, it returns. Flip it again, it's still there. Yet it makes little difference. In time, worry passes through the grains of sand.

Focus on the big picture, this life is a mere grain of sand compared to the eternal life planned for you.

Eternity is a long time. Why worry about things when the big picture says, it will pass in time? Why worry about the future when God says He will handle it?

This is not to discount your problem. Perhaps the issues you are facing are enourmous mountains. They are bigger than you can handle, but God is Greater than any problem you have. God is bigger than any mountain you must climb.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Remember the giants in your life can be conquered. Put your trust in God. By His mighty hand, He will conquer those giants. Rest assured, God can handle anything.Trust in Him.
