This week, FaithDream's Journey begins a new Bible Study Series. Obstacles to Faith.
Join FaithDream's feed as we walk this faith journey together and explore the word of God.
Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. "
In today's Bible Study we explore, why we struggle in our faith. One of the areas that cause us to struggle in our faith is human reasoning.
We analyze our situation over and over. We contemplate "what ifs" and "whys" certain things happen. In trying to figure things out, we reason with our self. We try to control the outcome by looking at past experiences. We review our successes and failures. Using these situations, we reason to make informed decisions. While there's nothing wrong with looking at our past, we cannot stay there.
The obstacles to our growing faith could be those past experience we are trying to out live. Those things that are standing in our way, could be the things we thought we overcame. The mountains we climbed, the rivers we crossed, those paths that led to us victory could be our stumbling blocks. Why? Because we make them bigger than they are.
We should not forget what God has done for us in the past. It has shaped us into who we are today. However human reasoning can become such an obstacle because we forget the power of the almighty God.
The journey of faith is seeking to know Him. It is keeping your focus on Him, not on your problems.
Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."Next time we'll study another obstacle to faith. "Living by Sight"
